We’ve just received news that Director Christopher Payne’s and Producer Stephanie Moon’s Raindance Festival award-winner LOVE TOMORROW has been picked up by Wonderphil Productions for international sales except UK and Ireland.

The film, focusing on a chance meeting between two troubled dancers, stars professional ballet dancers in the lead roles: CINDY JOURDAIN (ex-Royal Ballet soloist) and ARIONEL VARGAS (Principal at English National Ballet). Dancers from the English National Ballet and Rambert Dance Company also appear alongside actors MAX BROWN (The Tudors, Beauty and the Beast) and SAMUEL BARNETT (Bright Star, The History Boys). Michael Nunn and William Trevitt (aka The Ballet Boyz) choreographed some of the dance scenes and co-produced. Producer of Love Tomorrow, Stephanie Moon said:

“We are thrilled about our partnership with Wonderphil. The film is essentially a love story and aimed at fans of the ‘boy meets girl’ genre, but the hook has always been dance. Dance has become such an important and popular part of our culture, not just here in the UK but worldwide and I know that we all understand this.”

Sales Agent Phil Gorn from Wonderphil Productions added:

“I loved the film and I know it will do well internationally. The leads are attractive, the story is ultimately uplifting, and it’s not dialogue driven – which should appeal to non-English speakers. A lot of dance movies out there deliver on the choreography but not on the story, LOVE TOMORROW isn’t just beautiful and charming, it also delivers emotionally.”

Director Christopher Payne (The Jolly Boys’ Last Stand), also commented:

“I’ve always been a huge fan of the chance encounter love story. When I saw some contemporary dance in London, I realised that dance was the perfect medium to express the turning points of a developing relationship. I was so impressed with how committed the dancers were to the film and now having the opportunity to reach a wide audience is a fitting reward for their faith and hard work.”

Wonderphil Productions will be at Cannes Film Festival/Marche du Film May 15-24, Palais, Stand 20.01
