Found footage as an art form is something that is still hotly debated, especially here at THN where April’s Face Off focused on the sub-genre. Luckily for people such as myself, who happen to love the format, there are still plenty of films to come, and one of those those is sci-fi EUROPA REPORT. EUROPA REPORT sees a group of astronauts exploring the oceans on Jupiter’s moon, Europa. The image on the poster is quite striking, but has also had some video effects to it to emphasise the found footage style. The film stars Sharlto Copley, who is no stranger to the sci-fi found footage, thanks to the opening quarter of DISTRICT 9.
EUROPA REPORT is released sometime this year. It stars Sharlto Copley, Michael Nyqvist, Daniel Wu, Christian Carmargo, and Anamaria Marinca.
