Hopefully you’re not quite as sick as myself regarding promo updates for STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, as we’ve yet another new clip from J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi sequel. This time Chris Pine’s Captain James Kirk and colleague Scotty (played by Simon Pegg) are struggling with a problem aboard the Starship Enterprise.
The film co-stars Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Karl Urban, John Cho, Alice Eve, Bruce Greenwood, Peter Weller and Anton Yelchin. It enters the final frontier of UK cinemas from 9th May and the US from the 17th May. The official plot synopsis, for those few not in the know, is as follows:
In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.
As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
