Action-comedy caper RED 2 will see most of the crew from Robert Schwentke’s adaptation of the cult graphic novel by Warren Eliis and Cully Hamner, return for more explosive mayhem. The sequel, directed by Dean Parisot, is once again led by Bruce Willis, whose former CIA operative Frank Moses is hoping for a quiet life alongside ditzy beauty Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker). Unfortunately, a hit is put on his head leading him to band with his former colleagues including Helen Mirren, John Malkovich and newcomers Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung-hun Lee and Anthony Hopkins to reap some payback.
Late last week we brought you a bunch of character posters, as well as the enjoyable new trailer. Now we have a brand new banner showcasing all the major players not forgetting Parker’s own character artwork.
RED 2 is slated for a US release from the 19th July and the UK 2nd August. It co-stars David Thewlis, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough.
