Here we have our first look at William Fichtner’s Wild West goon Butch Cavendish from Disney and director Gore Verbinski’s western adventure, THE LONE RANGER. It’s the latest character poster from the mega-budget effort, based on the radio serial-turned-1930s television icon. The plot sees Johnny Depp’s Tonto recount the legend of Armie Hammer’s masked lawman, John Reid, after saving his life during a run-in with ruthless bandits. The two team-up to bring justice to their lawless town.
THE LONE RANGER will ride into US cinemas from the 3rd July and the 9th August in the UK. It co-stars Ruth Wilson, Barry Pepper, Tom Wilkinson, James Frain and James Badge Dale.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
