Leighton Meester and Jeremy Strong are to join the likes of Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall for THE JUDGE.
Directed by David Dobkin (THE CHANGE UP, WEDDING CRASHERS), the film sees Downey Jr. play an attorney who has to return to his hometown to attend his mother’s funeral. Duvall will play his father and the town judge – respectable, right? Wrong. He is also the only suspect in his wife’s murder and it’s down to Downey Jr. to prove the suspicions right.
Co-stars include Dax Shepard, Vera Farmiga and Vincent D’Onofrio. Meester will play Farmiga’s daughter, while Strong will play the younger brother of Downey Jr. and D’Onofrio.
I’m not really a fan of Dobkin’s other projects, but I do appreciate the acting talent of the cast involved for THE JUDGE. Fingers crossed this might make me laugh…
