Hugh Jackman Joins Adaptation Of ‘Six Years’

Hugh Jackman has already had a fantastic year so far with an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe win for his amazing performance in LES MISERABLES. On top of that he has the huge entry in the X-MEN franchise THE WOLVERINE coming up as well, and yes, it does look a whole lot better than X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. Now Jackman has signed up for a Paramount produced adaptation of upcoming mystery novel by Harlan Coben, SIX YEARS. The story is as follows:

Jake Fisher, a man who, after having watched the love of his life marry another man six years prior, decides to attend this other man’s funeral in the hopes of spotting his former flame.  Once Jake realizes that the mourning widow is not Natalie but another woman entirely, his past memories with Natalie are thrown into question.

The film is yet to find a director…or writer…or pretty much anyone apart from Jackman, but with him attached there should be quite a big incentive to attract some quality people to jump on board. We’ll update you on any updates as they break right here on THN.

Esben Evans is the Danish contingent on this site. He enjoys films, swearing a lot, and a nice pair of slacks.
