His Name May Ring A Bell: New Stylish TV Spots For NBC’s ‘Hannibal’

With serial-killer themed series’ DEXTER and THE FOLLOWING being a grisly and roaring success, it appears NBC want to make a killing with a murderous master of their own. Next month sees the release of Bryan Fuller’s HANNIBAL. The show will centre on the early relationship between FBI Profiler, Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter as the duo collaborate in bringing down some of the psychos and sickos of the world but unbeknownst to the troubled Graham, his new partner is a notorious flesh-eating fiend.

We all know the series, which stars Hugh Dancy, Laurence Fishburne and Mads Mikkelsen, is based on Thomas Harris’ iconic literary and movie monster, and here we have three new television promo spots. The pilot, directed by HARD CANDY and 30 DAYS OF NIGHT directer David Slade, will air on the US network on the 4th April but there is no word as yet on a UK date or channel.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
