Michael Keaton, the world’s best Batman, will return as a superhero…kind of. He is taking on the lead role in AMORES PERROS and 21 GRAMS director, Alejandro Gonzalez Inaritu, latest offering BIRDMAN. BIRDMAN follows an actor (Keaton) once famous for playing a superhero, trying to put together a Broadway play over the course of three days. Other cast members announced include Emma Stone as Keaton’s daughter, Naomi Watts as one of the show’s actresses, and Zack Galifianakis as a Broadway producer. The film will be a dark comedy which should suit Keaton perfectly. Keaton has recently seen a well deserved career resurgence with turns in THE OTHER GUYS, the voice of Ken in TOY STORY 3, and an upcoming performance in the ROBOCOP remake.
