Director of the latest X-MEN film Bryan Singer has been talking about the latest addition to the very star studded cast, and has said spilled some secrets about just who Peter Dinklage will be playing.
The most notable thing he said was that Dinklage’s character will not be in CGI, and that the character that Dinklage will play in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is ‘not a shy character’.
Singer also had great things to say about the actor, who currently stars as Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s GAME OF THRONES, and mentions that he was really happy when he was cast in the film:
“He’s just such a phenomenal actor; I’m a huge fan of Peter’s and GAME OF THRONES. He was my first choice and I was really happy. It’s so funny to talk to him because he does that impeccable accent on GAME OF THRONES and then you talk to him and he’s this guy from New Jersey.”
Peter Dinklage joins a very A-list line up for the new X-MEN film. The film will see Michael Fassbender, James McCoy, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen reprising their roles as Magento and Professor X. The film will also star Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Hugh Jackman and Shawn Ashmore.
With news that Peter Dinklage’s character will not be CGI, who do we think he will be playing?

I’ve read about a rumour that he’s gonna play Puck, but Puck isn’t a mutant. I doubt this detail would stop Singer, however, considering his persistent disregard for timeline, characters and continuity throughout the whole franchise.

Not in the comics, but in the film, he’s part of Magneto’s Brotherhood of mutants, and this fact perfectly underlines what I was saying about the movie franchise.
