Following more of the twisted exploits of poor Nell Sweetzer, THE LAST EXORCISM was never going to be ‘that’ after the success of Daniel Stamm’s 2010 shocker. The sequel will once again centre on Ashely Bell’s tormented and tortured soul, as THE LAST EXORCISM PART II drops the ever-tiresome ‘found-footage’ format in place of a standard narrative. It could work in it’s favour as I for one am bloody sick of the increasingly eye-rolling way of ‘storty-telling’, although the original was one of the effective few in that aspect.
Check out this demonic brand new graphic poster from artist Rich Knepparth, which suggests Bell’s character (and body) is in for yet another torrid time.
THE LAST EXORCISM PART II is directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly, produced by Eli Roth and is released in the US on the 1st March and the 15th March in the UK.
