Aussie filmmaker Nash Edgerton has done pretty much everything in the medium of film, from writing, directing, acting, producing, editing and even stunt work in the likes of THE MATRIX and STAR WARS prequel trilogies. His 2008 feature-length debut and modern noir, THE SQUARE, was a gripping, twisted thriller co-starring and written by his more famous brother, Joel. Both currently appear (albeit too short) in Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar-nominated war drama, ZERO DARK THIRTY, and Edgerton’s very own latest short film has some bite.
BEAR is co-written by ANIMAL KINGDOM’s David Michod and stars Edgerton alongside Aussie beauty Teresa Palmer (soon to to be seen in WARM BODIES), as a couple seemingly having a troubling time in their relationship. Not wanting to spoil the remainder of the plot for the 10-minute short film, we suggest you check out its twisted brilliance below.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
