Any project that unites the genius comic timing of Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi is always going to be worth a punt. Add into the mix a dreamy Olivia Wilde, Oscar-winning actor Alan Arkin and natural funnyman Jim Carrey, and THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE could be very just that – Incredible!
Carell plays the magician title character, making a decent living until he splits from his longtime stage partner (Buscemi) after a famous street magician steals their spot in the Vegas limelight. Spending some time with his boyhood idol (Arkin), Burt looks to remember what made him love magic in the first place and aims to come back with a bang.
The film is directed by Don Scardino and here we have the latest poster and trailer from the comedy set for cinemas on the 15th March.
Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
