New Details And Images Released For ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’

Everyone loves a good Coen Brothers project, and INSIDE LLEWYN DAVIS looks as if it’s going to continue their run.

Starring Oscar Isaac (DRIVE), Carey Mulligan (NEVER LET ME GO), Justin Timberlake (yes, the same guy!) and John Goodman (THE BIG LEBOWSKI), the film follows Llewyn Davis – a folk singer/songwriter trying to make it big in 1960s New York. Today we can bring you two new images taken from the set, but also announce that the film is doing a ‘LES MISERABLES’, with the songs recorded live during shooting. Joel Coen spoke to The New York Times and explained that there is a ‘certain kinship’ between the films, and that it’ll consist of ‘lots of duets and trios’. Exciting stuff!

I really enjoyed LES MIS and knowing that the effort was made to record live increased that enjoyment. However, do you think this is a step in the right direction for music-based movies? You can’t deny that the cinematography looks exceptional; but what do you think the final version will sound like?

If you haven’t already seen it, check out the trailer below!

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
