I have very mixed feelings about the DIE HARD franchise. What started as your everyman cop being caught up in an unfathomable situation has exploded into a series of increasingly larger action set-pieces with John McClane becoming an almost indestructible force. Still, one should never judge a chicken before it’s proved itself at the box-office.
