Fans of Suzanne Collins’ trio of vicious adventure novels and Gary Ross’ box-office adaptation of her first, with THE HUNGER GAMES, will no doubt be eager for the return of bow-carrying heroine Katniss Everdeen. Shooting on sequel, THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE, is now complete with Francis Lawrence controversially taking over directing duties from four-time Oscar-nominee Ross.
Check out this first look at Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss and SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN’s Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair, in the follow-up expected in cinemas on the 22nd November.
The breathless supporting cast includes the return of Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Woody Harrelson, alongside newcomers Jena Malone, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit, and Jeffrey Wright.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
