JACK REACHER is certainly shaping up to be a neat little action thriller that could certainly spawn another franchise for star Tom Cruise. Cruise takes on the eponymous role, as a man investigating a homicide perpetrated by a military sniper. It’s the first directorial effort from Christopher McQurrie in 12 years, since his well received THE WAY OF THE GUN. McQuarrie is probably best known for writing THE USUAL SUSPECTS, but has taken his career slowly on the silver screen. In saying that, he has recently been rumoured as taking on a number of projects from upcoming big budget films JACK THE GIANT SLAYER and THE WOLVERINE. His relationship with Cruise must also be grand, considering he is announced as writing MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 5 and TOP GUN 2.This latest trailer gives us a lot of action and Cruise badassery, and let’s face it, Japanese voice-overs just sound more serious.
JACK REACHER is released 21st December 2012 in the US and 26th December 2012 in the UK. It stars Tom Cruise, Rosamund Pike, Robert Duvall, Michael Raymond-James, Richard Jenkins, Werner Herzog, and Alexander Rhodes in the critical role of Suspicious Onlooker.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
