Lily Collins heads up THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES, the next big adaptation of a young adult novel series. Well, TWILIGHT is coming to an end after all. Collins plays Clary Fray, a young woman who discovers she is half-angel and must fight the demons that hide in our world. What sets this apart from other young adult films is that the trailer is putting more emphasis on the action and monsters than on a romantic subplot. It looks dark and disturbing, and reminds me of early 1990s films set at night and in the cities.
THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES is released on 23rd August 2013. It stars Lily Collins, Lena Headey, Jonathan Rhys Myers, Robert Sheehan, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, Aidan Turner, Kevin Durand, and Jared Harris.
