Hoping to wipe any memory of action shit-fest X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, Hugh Jackman’s return as razor-clawed mutant Logan in James Mangold’s THE WOLVERINE will once again see the character unleash his inner animal.
Matthew Vaughn’s X-MEN: FIRST CLASS rejuvenated the Marvel comic hero franchise after both ORIGINS and Brett Ratner’s dire X-MEN: THE LAST STAND almost killed it, and also gave Jackman’s Logan perhaps his most memorable scene yet!
Here’s hoping for more of the bad-tempered same as this time Wolverine travels to Tokyo and trains with a samurai warrior before getting stuck into some brutal gang warfare. In the meantime, check out the below Q & A with Jackman and Mangold, and this vivid teaser poster design.
THE WOLVERINE co-stars Famke Janssen, Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova. It’s due 25th July 2013.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
