AMERICAN LIE has been gathering pace since we first featured it at the beginning of the summer and we’re very pleased to announced as an official selection as the opening night film at the 6th Annual Mockfest Film Festival in Hollywood, CA on November 16, 2012. With an oversized cast of Hollywood’s hottest up and coming starlets, the event is expected to sell out!
The film was born from two things we know about blokes 1: They love hot girls, and 2: They don’t know how to get them and so this rather crazy indie-project was born!
Written and directed by Jason Lockhart, AMERICAN LIE is described as unique combination of story and style that provides a revamped AMERICAN PIE feel in the format of popular television series’ such as THE OFFICE and MODERN FAMILY. The cast includes a slew of good looking and talented women, which will undoubtedly appeal to guys everywhere including…Michelle Pierce (NCIS), Mayra Leal (Machete), Jessica Rose (LonelyGirl15, Greek), Chasty Ballesteros (The Newsroom), Kayla Collins (August 2008 Playboy Playmate), Christine Quinn (Shark Night 3D), Nikki BreAnne Wells, and Mindy Robinson.
The story centres on some single men who hold a fake casting session for a fake horror film starring sexy vixens getting slaughtered, all in hopes to land the girls of their dreams. Karr had this to say:
“The film and its communication via social media is a fun exaggeration of the driving concept, it’s not about guys fooling girls, but rather about guys fooling themselves to get out of their own way.”
