An Indecisive Tom Cruise Considers ‘Our Name Is Adam’

Either there is more than one Tom Cruise working in Hollywood today, or he just can’t decide on a next project. Cruise stars in the upcoming JACK REACHER, directed by Christopher McQuarrie who directs after a 12 years absence. He has just finished filming OBLIVION and is jumping straight into ALL YOU NEED IS KILL. Both sci-fi films that involve battles with alien races. Now we hear news he is supposedly sniffing around another sci-fi property, OUR NAME IS ADAM, which is written by T.S. Nowlin and produced by Mary Parent. Other than being a sci-fi, not a lot is known about the film, but I would hazard a guess it involves clones.

Cruise already has a large number of potential films that he is rumoured to be a part of. There are anticipated franchise sequels for Paramount, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 5 and TOP GUN 2, a remake of THE MAGNIFICENT 7 and a reboot of VAN HELSING. I admire Cruise’s strong work ethic, and he certainly isn’t slowing down in the output department. I actually enjoyed WAR OF THE WORLDS and MINORITY REPORT was great, so more sci-fi please Mr. Cruise.

JACK REACHER is scheduled for a UK release on 26th December 2012 and stars Tom Cruise, Werner Herzog, Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo and Robert Duvall.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
