Star Wars Episode II & III 3D Release Dates Set

In February this year STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE was released in theatres and did well enough to justify the release of the other Star Wars films. The original plan would have seen one Star Wars film released every February for six years. It seems that these planned have now been scrapped, as STAR WARS EPISODE II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES and STAR WARS EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH will be released just a month apart in the autumn of 2013. STAR WARS EPISODE II: ATTACK OF THE CLONES will be released 20th September 2013, with STAR WARS EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH released 11th October 2013.

I think an autumn release will suit these films much better, as they will work as a cool-down from the summer season, rather than a warm-up. I love the prequels. Sure it’s easy to hate on them but I’ve always found them very enjoyable. However, I don’t know if I will see the original trilogy in the cinema if Lucas releases his ‘true vision’ versions.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
