After 2008’s terrific GRAN TORINO, we didn’t expect to see the iconic Clint Eastwood on the big-screen again. It was thought the film would be his last in front of the camera. Thankfully he’s back in baseball drama TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE, in which he plays a legendary baseball coach struggling to come to terms with the ailments of getting older in his job and the technological advancements of the modern game, all while trying to reconnect with his daughter.
From the look of this first trailer, the film – which hits cinemas 30th November – looks to be more than your usual sports drama, with Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake looking to give the movie a lot of heart. TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE c0-stars Matthew Lillard, Robert Patrick and John Goodman. It’s also the first film Eastwood has starred but not directed since 1993s IN THE LINE OF FIRE, with Robert Lorenz on that duty for this effort.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
