The images below are from the upcoming British high concept film, COCKNEYS VS ZOMBIES, which debutant director Matthias Hoene recently finished shooting. The screenplay was co-written by James Moran (SEVERANCE) and Lucas Roche, and there are several recognisable faces comprising the main cast, including Harry Treadaway (FISH TANK), Michelle ‘You Ain’t My Muvva’ Ryan (CLEANSKIN), Honor Blackman (GOLDFINGER) and Alan Ford (LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS).
The narrative, or at least the aspect of the film that most resembles a narrative, follows two brothers, Andy (Treadaway) and Terry MacGuire (Rasmus Hardiker), as they attempt a bank robbery in order to help pay for their Grandpa’s (Ford) care home to stay open. However, a zombie infestation is simultaneously sweeping across the capital, turning all in its path into deranged flesh-seeking demons. So, to re-cap, it’s a heist movie with some zombies, and Zoe from EASTENDERS.
If ridiculously gaudy fun sounds like your cup of tea, then feast your peepers on these dolly mixtures:
COCKNEYS VS ZOMBIES is released in UK cinemas 31st August.
