Going Loopy For Looper: Brand New US Trailer

Since we gave you a sneaky peek yesterday at the UK trailer for LOOPER, it’s fitting that we now give you the US version which, in my opinion, is much grittier and more…well, thrilling.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis play Joseph Simmons – one present version, the other future. Set in 2042, Simmons is a Looper: a hitman hired to take out convicts sent back in time. However, when 55 year-old future Simmons is sent back to be killed off, things start to get complicated as he beats up his past self and escapes. Confused? Not surprising. However, this confusion doesn’t take away from the fact that the film looks insane, with JGL and Willis on top form.

Directed by Rian Johnson (the man behind BRICK (2005) and THE BROTHERS BLOOM (2008) – two cult favourites) hopefully LOOPER will propel him into the limelight, as he dearly deserves it.

LOOPER, also featuring Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Jeff Daniels and Noah Segan, arrives in the UK from 28th September 2012.
