Since MEN IN BLACK 3 has been released, you’re probably wondering ‘What’s Barry Sonnenfeld going to do with all his free time now?’ That question may have just been answered!
Rumours are circulating that Sonnenfeld is planning to adapt 1960s comic book THE METAL MEN, based on wacky scientist William Magnus’ 6 super-human creations. Each ‘human’ is made of a different type of metal: Platinum, Gold, Iron, Lead, Tin and Mercury. The beings also reflect elements of their namesake; so, for example, Gold is the leader while Tin is insecure and negative. Makes sense, right?
Having worked on the MEN IN BLACK trilogy, TV series PUSHING DAISIES and the down-right weird SPACE CHIMPS, Sonnenfeld has all the expertise someone would need to tackle the original material. I’m sure more information will be released if the rumours are true, so keep your eyes peeled…

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
