Hilarious Trailer For ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ (AND New Images!)

Any Disney fans will already be all over this news, but if you have no idea what’s happening –  fear not! We have the brand new trailer and some brilliant new images for Disney’s upcoming 52nd animated feature WRECK-IT RALPH.

John C. Reilly lends his voice to Ralph, a video-game ‘bad guy’ who is tired of not being liked. After joining a ‘bad guy’ support group, Ralph decides to game-jump, landing in the territory of Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) in Hero’s Duty and later in the blindly-bright setting of Sugar Rush. There he meets Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman), a race-car driver in the game. As their friendship blossoms, Ralph learns that his game-jumping actions have spread a viscous virus that could close the whole arcade. As he tries to save the day, Ralph learns what true friendship is and that being the bad guy isn’t always that bad.

Until now, we’d only seen some beautiful concept art and a teaser poster – but the trailer shows off the amazing skill and precision that goes into Disney’s films. Meanwhile, the images give us a close-up insight into Ralph’s world, including a glimpse at the Grand Central Power Strip where all the gaming characters can meet up. It’s funny, quirky and brilliantly imaginative. But could it ever out-do 1993’s TOY STORY?

WRECK-IT RALPH, directed by Rich Moore, is due for release from 2nd November 2012.

Considering Jazmine grew up watching CARRY ON SCREAMING, THE LION KING and JURASSIC PARK on repeat for weeks on end, it made sense for her to study film at London South Bank University. It’s also a good thing that her course requires a lot of sitting down because she’s very accident-prone. When she’s not examining her bruises, she likes pretending that she doesn’t live in Southend-On-Sea and spends hours mindlessly blogging. Favourite films include BLUE VALENTINE, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND and TOY STORY 2.
