Just when you thought the movie biz had run out of odious teens to slaughter in inventive ways, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY maestro Oren Peli serves up THE CHERNOBYL DIARIES.
The film follows a group of young travelers who go for an ‘extreme’ tour around the notorious nuclear disaster site. Clearly none of the group are horror fans, because if they were, they’d know full well this isn’t going to end well. It’s just a guess, but THN predicts there might be something sinister waiting in Chernobyl for our feckless travelers, and that some of them (probably all but one, in fact), won’t live to tell the tale. Expect mutants. And what self-respecting horror fan doesn’t like a good ol’ fashioned mutant?

THE CHERNOBYL DIARIES is directed by Bradley Parker and stars Olivia Dudley, Devin Kelley, Jesse McCartney, Nathan Phillips, and Jonathan Sadowski. It arrives in UK cinemas 22nd June 2012.
