The buzz has begun for the highly anticipated second season of HOMELAND, starring Damien Lewis and Claire Danes. The trailer below contains spoilers from season one, but should whet the appetites of those who are up-to-date and yearning for resolution.
HOMELAND, which is adapted from the Israeli Tv drama, PRISONERS OF WAR, by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa, has received much praise, both in the states, and in our neck of the woods. This admiration stems from – amongst other aspects of the show – its authentic depiction of the fragile and unpredictable nature of trust, allegiance and identity in the modern world. This is in stark contrast to the writers’ previous show, 24, which practically hailed protagonist, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), as a supreme and infallible all-American being (albeit an exhilarating one).
Season 2 promises to be, at least, as explosive and mystifying as the first. Do enjoy…
