The World Premiere of AVENGERS ASSEMBLE was Wednesday just gone and those lucky enough to get an invite have started to give a bit of reaction, nothing official though full reviews are embargoed for the time being.
So what’s the reaction? Well largely positive everyone seems to have enjoyed it according to their 140 character or less summaries.
The Avengers- Epic. EPIC! Everyone fights everyone, but it does deliver. Marvel’s movies get better every single one. Hulk! HULK!!
THE AVENGERS. Finally, a Marvel film with a rousing finish. That third act is more than enough to make THE AVENGERS the best Marvel movie yet.
Absolutely loved THE AVENGERS. Was smiling from beginning to end. Two things that made #THEAVENGERS amazing: the Hulk and the humor. Joss Whedon gets a 10 out of 10 on both of those.
I’d tweet about The Avengers but my body is still recovering from non-stop geeking out. So, so, so much fun (for the most part).
Indeed two of our own intrepid reporters got a look at the movie last night and this is what they made of it:
Ladies & gentlemen, I can assure you #AvengersAssemble doesn’t disappoint. Utterly exciting, intelligently scripted & damn right perfect!
AVENGERS? Clunky & cliched but FAR too much fun & action to care. Popcorn cinema at its best! Couldn’t tear our eyes away. Just u wait & see!
Full reviews will be on the site and The Hollywood Booze podcast as soon as we’re allowed, until then you’ll just have to dream like the rest of us about how awesome this could be.
AVENGERS ASSEMBLE is directed by Joss Whedon, stars Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr et al. and is released 26th April.
Sam is a bloody lovely lad born and raised in Bristol (he’s still there and can’t escape). Favourite films include THE LOST BOYS, DRIVE, FIGHT CLUB and COMMANDO, well pretty much any 1980s Arnie film you can throw his way…even RED SONJA. Sam once cancelled a Total Film subscription after they slagged off Teen Wolf. He resubscribed 2 days later.
