As far as high concepts go, IRON SKY is up there with the best. It’s been at the forefront of fanboy speculation and anticipation for some time now, and over the last year or so, there’s been a smattering of teasers, posters, and fascistic titbits.
It seems that in the final days of World War II, the last of the Nazis travelled to the Dark Side of the Moon, setting up base, and waiting 70 years for their vengeance. When an American astronaut lands near the Nazi lunar stronghold, the Fourth Reich assume invasion is imminent and return to Earth for some old-fashioned Nazi justice!
Whether IRON SKY can live up to expectations remains to be seen, but expect brilliant visuals and ridiculous camp humour.
IRON SKY is directed by Timo Vuorensola, and stars Udo Kier, Stephanie Paul, Chritopher Kirby, and Julia Dietze. It lands in UK cinemas 4th April.
