You’d be forgiven for thinking that this PG-13 EXPEDNABLES scenario has gone too far with what looks like a spinoff cartoon. With the guy that did the voice for Yakko Warner doing Jason Statham, or something. But fear not, this is merely promo artwork for the upcoming action flick. By all accounts officially endorsed by the studio, we see an artist’s impression of Sly, The Stat and Holby City star and four time Jean-Claude Van Damme collaborator, Scott Adkins.
If you hadn’t heard, Chuck Norris apparently insisted on the lower certification for fear of excluding younger audiences, to the consternation of action fans everywhere. More details about that can be found here.
THE EXPENDABLES 2 stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and of course, Scott Adkins. It is directed by Con Air helmer Simon West and is scheduled for release 17th August 2012

John is a gentleman, a scholar, he’s an acrobat. He is one half of the comedy duo Good Ol’ JR, and considers himself a comedy writer/performer. This view has been questioned by others. He graduated with First Class Honours in Media Arts/Film & TV, a fact he will remain smug about long after everyone has stopped caring. He enjoys movies, theatre, live comedy and writing with the JR member and hetero life partner Ryan. Some of their sketches can be seen on YouTube and YOU can take their total hits to way over 17!

This looks so stupid and childish! What happened to this franchise? My God! A PG-13 Expendables? Fail!
