Calling all Trekkies and fans alike! Paramount Home Entertainment have announced details to THN for the release of this initial single Blu-ray. It features three classic Next Generation episodes including the first ever pilot episode and it’s a taster before the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation collection is gradually released on Blu-ray over the next two years, with Season One arriving later in the 2012.
Star Trek: The Next Generation was one of the most popular series in the Star Trek world and it celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. THE NEXT LEVEL takes fans aboard the Starship Enterprise with Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew and includes the feature-length pilot – “Encounter at Farpoint” – as well as two more “fan favourite ” episodes, “The Inner Light” (Season 5) and “Sins of the Father” (Season 3).

Set in the 24th century on the Starship Enterprise, about 100 years after the original series took place, the series starred Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Jonathan Frakes as Commander William T. Riker, LeVar Burton as Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge, Marina Sirtis as Counselor Deanna Troi, Brent Spiner as Lt. Commander Data, Michael Dorn as Lieutenant Worf, Gates McFadden as Dr. Beverly Crusher and Wil Wheaton as her son Wesley Crusher.
