What a lovely way to start the day, with new images of a studious looking Emma Watson in THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. Stephen Chbosky not only directs the movie, but has adapted it from his own novel. It is ‘A funny and touching adventure based on a best-selling novel that has sold over a million copies in the U.S. and has been published in 16 countries and 13 languages, THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER is a modern classic about a shy, sensitive teenager caught between trying to live his life and escape it.’
That teenager is played by Logan Lerman, who recently starred as d’Artagnan in THE THREE MUSKETEERS 3D, but is best known as the titular hero in PERCY JACKSON & THE LIGHTNING THIEF. Its noteable that he is playing opposite Emma Watson, who starred in HARRY POTTER. Some have accused the PERCY JACKSON books/films of blatantly plagiarising the POTTER franchise, so we wonder whether they came to blows on set. Likelihood? Slim. Mental image? Awesome. Also, Ms. Watson is totally rocking the plaid skirt.
Just sayin.’
TPoBaW also stars Mae Whitman (SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD), Nina Dobrev (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES) and Paul Rudd (ANCHORMAN, WANDERLUST) and is due for release later this year.
