Despite only being out of chokey for around a week, Wesley Snipes will form part of the cast for all-star action sequel, THE EXPENDABLES 3. The news has been confirmed by the franchise creator and legendary action icon Sylvester Stallone, who tweeted the following message which has since been removed, possibly due to ongoing negotiations and parole stipulations for the tax dodger Snipes.
@theslystallone Wesley Snipes is BACK!!!! … …with US.
Stallone also hopes to nab all-round ‘ladies man’ and Oscar-winning director Mel Gibson to helm the film, which will no doubt reunite fellow cast members Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren. If Gibson signs up, don’t be surprised to see him also appear. His next big-screen role will be in Robert Rodriguez’ exploitation sequel MACHETE KILLS, playing a delusional villain. No change there for Mel!
Mel is a MAGNIFICENT director! Pure passion on every level . we’d be blessed to have him.. A REAL long shot, but LIFE is a long shot -right?

It’s early days but we’ll keep you up to date. We’re still awaiting release dates and an announcement Sly was able to temp Jackie Chan to join the cast, but when asked he added:
No S. Seagal, sorry ,but maybe we get lucky with J. Chan! And some young bloods!!!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
