Following in the footsteps of Stiller and Wilson’s STARSKY AND HUTCH, co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have given an old-school cop show the comedy make-over treatment. This time it’s 21 JUMP STREET, the 1980s crime drama which starred Johnny Depp as part of an undercover team investigating youth crime.
This time around Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill play the undercover officers. The due are sent back to high school for a covert investiagation. But they soon find that school has changed in the short time they’ve been away. Hilarity ensues, etc.
21 JUMP STREET co-stars Ice Cube, Ellie Kemper, and Brie Larson. Depp is reportedly on board for a cameo. It arrives in cinemas March 2012.
