Anne Hathaway who will be appearing in upcoming feature THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, is also set to join the cast of Universal Pictures’ adaptation of the novel Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.
Les Miserables has been performed on stage and is breaking through to the silver screen. Joining Hathaway on the feature will be Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman and they will be working under director Tom Hooper.
Fantine will be portrayed by Hathaway alongside Crowe as Inspector Javer and Jackman as Jean Valjean.
There’s no doubt that Les Miserables has had huge success both as a novel and play, but how big a hit will it be in cinemas?
Presumably the screen adaptation will include the music scored by Claude-Michel Sch nberg and Alain Boublil which on it’s own is a pretty appealing selling point.
Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables is set for release on the 7th of December 2012.
