Seth Rogen Talks About A New Flick: Baruchel, Franco And Hill To Be Involved.

Canadian comedy globetrotter Seth Rogen plans to co-direct a film with writing partner Evan Goldberg.

THE APOCALYPSE will have an exceptional ensemble cast composed of big names such as James Franco, Jay Baruchel and Jonah Hill, all of whom have previously banded together.

The movie is based on a short film Rogen and Goldberg wrote a while back. He claims that the project is very close to his heart and so all the actors involved will essentially be playing themselves.

‘…We all play ourselves in the movie. … I literally play Seth Rogen in the movie and Jay Baruchel literally plays himself in the movie and others — Jonah Hill, James Franco — they’re literally playing themselves in the movie.’

The entire cast has at some point crossed paths on various projects. Jonah and Seth worked along side in SUPERBAD, THE 40-YEAR OLD VIRGIN and KNOCKED UP and Seth’s acting relationship with Franco dates back to the critically acclaimed TV series FREAKS AND GEEKS which later evolved into UNDECLARED where he worked with Baruchel.

Rogan appears optimistic about the project, which can apparently be pin-holed into the comedy-horror genre. ‘It’s a movie about a bunch of friends who are stuck in a house together as the apocalypse happens outside and they kind of barricade themselves in… They think they’ve kind of survived the worst and then they realize they all really can’t stand to be around each other as they’re stuck in this house together’. ‘The project is so personal’ he added.

With a cast as individually enjoyable as above-mentioned, the film could well be worth checking out…after it’s been filmed next February.

I met Seth Rogen at Heathrow airport. I had to take my dauugter to the bathroom and set my Costa coffee down next to him. When I retuurned I am ninety nine percent certain there was not as muuch coffee as when I left. With this in mind I’m afraid I won’t be seeing this movie, buut a fine article none the less.
