One of our fave filmmakers, Robert Rodriguez, has just struck a deal and set up a brand new shingle called Quick Draw Productions, a new outfit that will finance and sell commercial action movies. Rodriguez will continue churning out projects through his Troublemaker Studios, but the new company will make actioners, some of which Rodriguez will direct, and some of which he will just produce with directing duties going to established and up-and-coming filmmakers.
The deal is a partnership with Gigi Pritzker’s OddLot Entertainment and Michel Litvak’s Bold Films. The Hollywood Reporter says that an official announcement will be made at the American Film Market later this month.
