Liam Neeson is an Unknown White Male

I would be surprised if everyone else didn’t agree but I’m nearly at my wits end with the over exposure of Liam Neeson as the Irish actor has appeared in nearly a dozen films in the last year and a half.  His new offering though, UNKNOWN WHITE MALE, does look like a cracker with elements of TAKEN mixed with Harrison Ford’s FRANTIC creating an explosive film.

Neeson plays Dr Martin Harris who wakes up in a hospital to find that he was involved in a car crash after arriving to Berlin with his wife.  The results of which have plunged him into a coma for the last four days.  His wife is surprisingly absent from his bedside and he quickly tracks her down but discovers she has no memory of him and at her side is another man, her husband, Dr Martin Harris (Aidan Quinn).  With his identity stolen Harris is faced to question his own sanity, mysterious assassins and will have to push himself to his very limits in uncovering the conspiracy engulfing him.

As well as the pulse pounding story and the topical focus on identity theft, no matter how extreme, the film also boast an impressive cast with; January Jones (Mad Men), Diane Kruger (Inglorious Basterds), Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon) and Aidan Quinn (In Dreams).  While the director, Jaume Collet-Serra, is no slouch either with his last effort being ORPHAN which was a incredibly interesting and creepy piece of cinema.  So all in all it looks like Neeson has a couple more interesting films left in him.

UNKNOWN WHITE MALE comes out in January 2011.

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
