That’s official folks. Well, as close to official as we’re getting at the moment – which might not be all that official at all, but Vulture are reporting that Paramount has offered Jerry Bruckheimer and Tony Scott a deal to bring a sequel to the 1986 high-octane classic TOP GUN to the big screen! Oh. My. Gosh!
Paramount Pictures has made offers to both producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Tony Scott to follow up their action classic, and has a missile-lock on Oscar-winning screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) to update the script, one in which Tom Cruise’s Maverick would play a smaller role.
So, Tom’s back too!!! Click this link to read the full article over at Vulture. Check back for more news just as soon as we get it!!!
What do you think? All we need now is Val Kilmer’s involvement confirmed and we’ll be flying!
