Stephen J. Canell, the writer and producer of some of the greatest TV shows of our time, including “The A-Team” and “The Rockford Files”, has sadly passed away at the age of just 69. During his career, Canell actually produced more than 40 television series, which also included the likes of “Wiseguy,” “21 Jump Street,” “Silk Stalkings,” and “The Commish.”
Canell passed away at his Californian home on Thursday evening this week due to complications associated with melanoma.
“The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society or The International Dyslexia Association. Details regarding his memorial service will be released.” Cannell overcame dyslexia and was a spokesperson on the condition.
