Stephen Sommers Bringing Dean Koontz’s Odd Thomas To The Big Screen

At last, a post that I can personally relate to. I read the book Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz on a travelling trip to India back in 2009, and I am so thrilled to discover that the book may be being turned into a film by Stephen Sommers.

Production Weekly have reported the news through their Twitter, that the writer and director of The Mummy and Van Helsing is looking to bring the supernatural thriller to the big screen.

There are three books in the ‘Odd’ series. Odd Thomas, Brother Odd and Odd Hours.

Here’s a little about Odd Thomas from Koontz’s website.

“The dead don’t talk. I don’t know why.” But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Odd Thomas thinks of himself as an ordinary guy, if possessed of a certain measure of talent at the Pico Mundo Grill and rapturously in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Stormy Llewellyn.

That’s all we know at the moment. We’ll bring you more as it happens.
