Life’s Too Short for Gervais and Merchant as new comedy series is commissioned by the BBC

We reported on this just a couple of days ago but noe the news is official, the BBC have commissioned a new Ricky Gervais comedy series called Life’s Too Short for BBC Two.

The project is described as a single camera show, also created by Stephen Merchant.

The Hollywood Reporter reports:

The show centers on Warwick Davis, Britain’s pre-eminent little person actor who has appeared in such boxoffice hit franchises as “Star Wars” and “Harry Potter.” Gervais and Merchant appear in minor roles.

The observational comedy follows Davis in his day-to-day life, complete with the frustrations he faces, in his first major role for the BBC.
