Matthew Broderick isn’t seen as an adult.
The ‘The Producers’ actor, who is married to ‘Sex and the City’ star Sarah Jessica Parker, declared he finds it hard to get middle-aged roles.
He said: “I think I’m thought of as a boy. Or – the hard thing, when you’ve had success as a young person, it’s hard to go from one stage to the other.
“So I’m trying to get to the middle aged parts. I want more adult things, you know? I’m too old to do ‘Godzilla’ and things I like that.”
The 47-year-old New Yorker went on to suggest he was “uncomfortable” to be continually associated with his character Ferris Bueller from ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’.
He said to MovieHole: “For a while, it made me uncomfortable. It sometimes surprises me that that’s the only move anybody seems to know I did. But – on the other hand, now that I’m older, I’m quite proud to have been in a movie that really lasted.”
