Variety are reporting that a sequel to this year’s superb Zombieland is planned, and the movie will be shot in glorious 3-D. The stars of the movie, Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg are set to reprise their roles as a pair of post-apocalyptic survivors. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on the sequel’s screenplay while director Ruben Fleischer will also return with producer Gavin Polone.
“Everyone had fun watching (the first) ‘Zombieland’; making it a more visceral experience can only make it better,” said the film’s producer Gavin Polone. “I don’t think you want to see ‘Ordinary People’ in 3-D. But ‘Zombieland’ is clearly one movie that will benefit from (the technique).”
Sony will stump up the cash for the flick.
