Star Wars: The Last Jedi star Oscar Isaac is reportedly in talks to voice Gomez Addams in an animated version of The Addams Family, so reports The Tracking Board.
The new film is set-up over at MGM with Conrad Vernon (Sausage Party) directing from a screenplay by Pamela Pettler (Corpse Bride), with revisions by Matt Lieberman. It will be based on the drawings created by American cartoonist Charles Addams. The Addams Family characters have traditionally included Gomez and Morticia Addams, their children Wednesday and Pugsley, close family members Uncle Fester and Grandmama, their butler Lurch, the disembodied hand Thing, and Gomez’s Cousin Itt. The Addams Family first appeared as single-panel gag illustrations that were published in The New Yorker.
Isaac is officially in talks for the movie and the producers are reportedly keen to get him 100% on board before moving on to cast other key characters.
More as we get it.
