A Hitman TV series is currently in the works by John Wick franchise creator Derek Kolstad. Kolstad was the man behind the original John Wick screenplay and a planned third movie in the hit franchise.
The new Hitman TV series is being set-up at Hulu and Fox 21 and will be based on the video games that have shifted over 25 million copies worldwide. There have been two attempts at a movie version, the first titled Hitman from back in 2007 starring Timothy Olyphant, and then Hitman: Agent 47 which was released in 2015 starring Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto and Ciaran Hinds.
The story revolves around Agent 47 (usually simply referred to as “47” or “Mr. 47”), a cloned assassin-for-hire, whose flawless record places him in high demand among the wealthy and elite.
Kolstad is writing the pilot for the planned series. No air date has been revealed as yet.
