Judy Greer Halloween news – Actress to play Karen Strode…

The film is being written by Danny McBride and David Gordon Greenwith Green set to direct. John Carpenter, who wrote and directed the original movie 40 years ago, is also on board as an executive producer and creative consultant.

Plot details are being kept firmly under wraps, but McBride did speak with the same outlet earlier this year.

“We’re having a blast with it,” McBride told EW earlier this year. “We just love that original Halloween. There’s something so scary about how simple it was. I had seen all the Halloween films. We really were studying all the sequels and stuff, just to see where it exactly it went wrong. It definitely kind of felt that, as the series went on, Michael Myers became like Frankenstein and he was like indestructible and I think the more indestructible he was, the less scary he became. And so David and I, our ambition is to strip it down and get it back to [being] grounded in reality, which I think makes it scarier.”

The Judy Greer Halloween news comes ahead of her appearance in Ant-Man and The Wasp, which is now-in-production for Marvel Studios, which will also be released in 2018. She will also be seen in Clint Eastwood’s upcoming 15:17 To Paris, and then Pottersville, which is about a beloved local businessman who is mistaken for the legendary Bigfoot during an inebriated romp through town in a makeshift gorilla costume.

The new Halloween movie will debut in cinemas on October 19, 2018. More as we get it.
