It’s amazing how fast two years goes by in the film world because it seems like yesterday that we were recommending The Silent Storm at the London Film Festival. Today we’ve got the first trailer for the theatrical release which hits UK cinemas on 20 May.
Corinna McFarlane writes and directs the film, it stars Damian Lewis, Andrea Riseborough and Ross Anderson and before any more background bits, check out the dramatic trailer below – complete with our quoted praise:
On a wild and remote Scottish island, the respected local minister, Balor, fights to keep his disappearing community together. His beautiful, enigmatic wife Aislin is more in tune with nature than she is with her husband or the villagers. It’s clear she doesn’t belong here and is treated as a total outsider.
